The Future Home of the BHSS Hub is Taking Shape
On Monday, February 24, 2026, we had the honour of welcoming Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, Honourable Sylvia Jones; and Associate Minister of Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity Honourable Charmaine Williams at 19 Rutherford Road South, Brampton.
During the visit, we unveiled the site renderings and toured the space to showcase the progress to date. This visit reflects our shared commitment to advancing health equity and creating a culturally-affirming space designed to meet the needs of our Black, African, and Caribbean (BAC) communities in Peel.
From the initial community engagement sessions to ongoing consultations, community voices have shaped this project at every stage. The 16,000 square-foot space will be a vibrant centre of health, connection and healing reflecting the strength, diversity and lived experiences of Peel’s BAC communities. As construction continues, we look ahead to our opening in Spring 2026; and welcoming individuals and families into a permanent space.
Since launching services in 2023, the Hub has supported BAC Communities in Peel through integrated mental health and addiction, primary health care and social services through satellite locations. We invite you to learn more about the impact we have achieved together by reading our 2023–2025 Impact Report .
